Planning: Draft of Ancillary Text with Audience Feedback - Billboard

DRAFT OF BILLBOARD ADVERTISEMENT WITH AUDIENCE FEEDBACK

All original designs and initial plans for my magazine and the ancillary texts were popular with my target audience. The billboard design was praised with many areas of strength. My audience liked the simple design of the billboard as it wasn't too overbearing and put across the right and essential information that is needed in order to advertise the magazine successfully without putting of audiences. The audience also approved of the text choices as they decided that the size and font would be appropriate for the billboard. My audience also pointed out that adding extra features such as the website address and release date, links my work to the rest of my project, the magazine and website pages.

Although my audience approved of my initial plans for the billboard advertisement, they pointed out a few areas in which I should bare in mind when I come to create my ancillary texts and magazine pages. My audience liked the idea of having a background image on the billboard advertisement in order to make it more appealing and eye-catching, but they didn't want it to seem too overbearing and so, have suggested of using a simple image. A suggestion on my choice of text was also made. They pointed out that using a bold text in a dark colour would be a suitable choice for the advertisement so that people can read the sign easily and from further distances.
